happy santa claus day!

a little culture lesson today-
in switzerland, santa claus day or "samichlaus" is the special day when santa claus and his companion visit the children in the neighborhood to see if they have been naughty or nice in the past year. If they have been nice, the children will receive goodies like walnuts, peanuts, and chocolates- but if they have been naughty, the children are told they will be captured in Santa's bag and taken away. how scary!

inspired by this tradition, we have a few ideas for small goodies or stocking stuffers for $20 and under-

stance socks // vancouvercandleco. neighborhood travel candle // roost gnome ornaments // roost unicorn ornament // wildhill vanilla & almond lip balm // woodlot soaps // craighill keyring // cactus egg yolk separator

ps. if you are receiving nuts for christmas, a nut cracker will provide you with a easier and safer time getting the tricky ones open (hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, etc.)
